She Stands in Truth - Tegan Thomas

Hey girlfriends, how amazing have these blogs been, we are honestly so blessed to have such inspiring women in our lives!

This has been such a challenging topic, she stands in truth. We heard from our Senior Pastor Sheree about the lies we feed ourselves a few weeks ago. Um wow! What a blog, I seriously recommend if you haven’t read it yet stop what you’re doing and go read it. Seriously go! I’ll be here waiting for you to come back!

I think it was such an impacting one for me because that’s me! Especially 12 months ago when I was feeding myself lies of I don’t deserve this, I’m not worth that, I’m too skinny, I’m just average.

I was allowing myself to think these things honestly! There’s only one person who has control over the things that you let inside your head and it’s you. Which was a hard pill to swallow. Because unlike some people who have horrid things said to them by others which was forcing themselves to believe it. I was the person saying the things to me, about me. As much as I tried to find someone to blame it on, it was myself that it came down to.

We can be our own downfall but do you know what that means ladies? We can be our greatest assets as well. So with the power of ourselves we can only get so far so we have to put on our Armour of God.

Ephesians 6:13-17 says
“Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

Ladies don’t leave the house without putting on your armour. But the thing I want you not to forget is your belt of truth. The truth being Jesus. The truth being knowing your worth, knowing you are the daughter of the most high king.
I really want to encourage you to make sure the voice inside you is telling you truths! I know that when I shut up the lies in my head and stood everyday putting the armour of God on, there was such peace in my life and I am so much happier for it!

Have the most amazing week chicks!
