jealousy-removed's a problem between me and God, not me and someone who has what I want. I don't want what they have exactly, I just want something like it and if I don't get it I'm probably asking in the wrong place.

So what do I do with all the desires that I have and all the wants that I have???? Do I just keep looking at other people and let jealousy fester? Do I continue to let jealousy be a blockage in my heart that would keep me separated from the best that God has for me??

No! 1 Peter 5:7 says - "Cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you."

James 4:4 - you're cheating on God, If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn't care? The proverb has it that "He's a fiercely jealous lover". And what He gives in love is far better than anything else you'll find.  It's common knowledge that "God goes against the wilful proud and gives grace to the willing humble".

If you look to God to provide your needs you will live in peace with people around you. Our relationship with God should be our highest priority.  We need to know who God is and who He says we are.  If we focus on these things then everything we need will be provided for by God.

It is such a waste of our time and energy to be jealous of other people and what they have or what their talents are.  You were made to be you, not someone else.  Go to God and ask Him, tell him everything that you want in every area of your life. Not just possessions, but aspects of character and traits that you see in other people that you wish you had, things about yourself that you want Him to take away.  Ask God for anything and everything.  If He says no then understand that it is for your own good. Ask with a heart that is in relationship with Him.

How's your heart?

Love Suzie xx
